About Us

In 1968 Mittineague Methodist Community Church’s Commission of Education began to research the idea of opening a preschool as an outreach to the community. With no allotted funds, the commission of education held a public chicken pie supper and raised $116.75 for necessary supplies. With an additional loan from the Church, equipment was purchased, teachers were hired and the school opened on October 1, 1968 with 11 three-year-olds and 15 four-year-olds.

Over the years the school has grown to include 4 classrooms that can accommodate 75 children and 10 staff members. We are excited with the continuous growth of our school and the ability to provide quality edcation in a community setting.
