Katherine Rock I began working at MMPS as the director in the fall of 2010. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education from Bay Path College. I am licensed through the Massachusetts Department of Education to teach children aged Preschool through 6th Grade, as well as Director II certified through the Dept. of Early Education and Care. I have enjoyed working with children of all ages and their families since 1993. I consider it to be an honor to be among only four directors in the history of our school since it’s opening in 1968.

Amy Freniere Administrative Assistant At MMPS since 2000 I oversee the school office and assist Katherine, the school director. I reside in Feeding Hills with my husband and two children. Both of my children attended the preschool. Over the years I have gotten to know many of the families and have enjoyed being of assistance to them during the school year. |

Pat Atkins Preschool Teacher - Three year olds Started teaching at MMPS in I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. degree in Home Economics Education (Early Childhood was included in that major). Early Childhood was my field of study. I have been married for thirty seven years to my husband, Bill. We have three children, Bill, Michael and Elizabeth. I am a member of Mittineague United Methodist Church. In my free time I belong to a quiltters group that makes quilts for Griffins friends and others. My two goals in college were to become a Mom and be a preschool teacher! I've achieved those goals and feel I have the best job in the world! |

Joanne Beliveau Preschool Teacher - Three year olds Started teaching at MMPS in 2006 I have been teaching at Mittineague Methodist Community Preschool since 2006. I have an Associates Degree and a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. I have three beautiful daughters, Rachel, Lauren and Katie who have all attend this school and to this day still love it and ask to come back. I have a very loving, hardworking and supportive husband, Scott. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach your children and look forward to having your family join ours at MMPS. |

Tammi Frydryk Preschool Teacher - Three year olds Started teaching at MMPS in 2008 I graduated from Holyoke Community College in 2007 with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I performed my student teaching at Old Mill Pond Elementary School in Palmer. Prior to working at MMPS, I worked in a temporary position as a paraprofessional. I live in Palmer with my husband and our two children, Meredith and Paul. I started at Mittineague in September 2008 and have happily become a member of the MMPS family! |

Kathy Mercer Preschool Teacher - Four year olds Started teaching at MMPS in 2000 I have been working at MMPS since 2000. When I first started at MMPS my two sons started with me. Timmy was four and Patrick was three. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to working at MMPS I taught preschool at another school for seven years. I also teach CCD at St. Thomas in West Springfield. During the summer my husband and I along with our two sons spend most of our time in Cape Cod. We all love the beaches, going out for boat rides on the bay, water skiing, wake boarding and fishing. |

Tymmin Demers Preschool Teacher - 4 year olds Started teaching at MMPS in 2008 I have been teaching preschool for about six years. I have worked with children ranging from toddlers to five years old, but primarily with children four to five years of age. I am EEC lead teacher certified and have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as CPR and First Aid certified. Teaching children is rewarding for me because I help to build a foundation for learning while preparing children for kindergarten. I enjoy implementing creative and fun activities for children to engage in. |

Nancy Tessier Preschool Teacher - 4 year olds Started teaching at MMPS in 1988 I joined the staff of Mittineague Methodist Preschool in March 1988, shortly after moving back to Western Massachusetts from Charlotte, North Carolina. I grew up in Granby, MA and graduated from Elms College with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Education. I have also taken grad level courses in Early Childhood Educations at the Elms and am Lead Teacher and Director qualified for Early Childhood. In the afternoons I visit older students as a home tutor for the West Springfield Schools. My five children are all adults and three of them live nearby along with one of my four grandsons. |

Lynne Clark Preschool Teacher - 4 year olds Started teaching at MMPS in 1993 I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood from Holyoke Community College. I live in West Springfield with my husband and two children. My daughter attended the preschool. Over the years as a teacher at MMPS I have enjoyed seeing how the children grow over the school year. It's an honor to be apart of their first educational experience. |

Susan Rabbit Preschool Teacher - Four year olds Started teaching at MMPS in I graduated from Westfield State College with a Bachelor of Science in Education (K-8). Prior to working at MMPS I was a substitute teacher in the West Springfield School system and taught CCD at St. Thomas (grades 3-7). I grew up in West Springfield and have been married for thirty years, with two teenage children who both attended MMPS. |

Kathy Serra Preschool Substitute Teacher, Librarian & Literacy Program Teacher Started teaching at MMPS in 1989 I have been associated with the preschool for over twenty years. First as a parent, then as a teacher and now as a substitute teacher, librarian and literacy program teacher. I graduated from Westfield State with a dual degree in special education and elementary education. I started my career in education as a kindergarten teacher at Saint Georges in Chicopee, MA. I am married with three children and two grandchildren. |
